Introduction to Solid Edge

An introductory talk and 6 hour workshop introducing the audience to Solid Edge and solid modelling in general. The talk integrates CAD modelling into a holistic approach to modelling/prototyping in all media. The workshop uses the creation of a shock absorber as a tool for becoming familiar with the basic solid modelling features of Solid Edge, a program that is fairly typical of most industry standard solid modellers whilst still being affordable to students and educational institutions. Originally created for the Glasgow School of Art School of Design.
